The Chapin Foundation is pleased to announce it’s 2023-2024 Intern, Jensen Bolich. Hailing from Hegins, PA, Jensen is a Junior at Coastal Carolina University, majoring in Marketing and a member of the prestigious Wall Fellows program. Wall Fellows is a 2-year leadership and professional development program that prepares students for not only their first job, but also their last.
The Chapin Foundation established an internship with the Wall Fellows last year to provide young leaders the opportunity to learn about the business of Philanthropy, as well as to impart an appreciation for the role of Philanthropy within the community. “The Chapin Foundation Board feels strongly about fostering a new generation of philanthropists, and what better place to start than with the student leaders right in our back yard,” states Tory Mackey, the Foundation’s Executive Director. Interns will assist the Foundation with its marketing and social media activities, participate in the grantmaking process, engage with grantees through site visits and events, and help to expand the Foundation’s capacity to meet community needs in more strategic and innovative ways.
On campus, Jensen is also involved in Delta Sigma Pi, Beta Gamma Sigma, Young Life, and works part-time at University Recreation. In her free time, Jensen enjoys the beach, reading and spending time with friends. When asked about how she feels about starting this internship, Jensen said, “I have always loved community service and being part of something bigger than myself and am looking forward to how I can help this community and foundation grow.”
