The Chapin Foundation is excited to welcome Annie Schiffmacher to the role of Grants Manager

Annie is originally from Winston-Salem, NC, but has become a proud Myrtle Beach resident since 2016. Annie attended UNC Charlotte where she earned a BA in Communications with Minors in Sociology and Urban Youth and Communities.

Annie brings 6+ years of Marketing and Communications experience to the Chapin Foundation as well as account management. Notably, she was voted “Employee of the Year” at Waccamaw Publishers in Conway for her role as a Sales/Advertising Account Executive.
Annie’s role as Grant Manager will include managing the grant application process, scheduling site visits, marketing, and social media. “As the Foundation grows, so do the opportunities to build relationships with grantees and direct positive change in our community. Annie brings energy, experience, and a love for Myrtle Beach to the role of Grants Manager and will offer support to our grantees as they carry out Mr. Chapin’s legacy day to day,” states Tory Mackey, the Foundation’s Executive Director.

In her free time, Annie enjoys going to the beach, traveling, being a food connoisseur, exploring Myrtle Beach, and spending time with her 2 ½ year old daughter, Evelyn. When asked how she feels about stepping into this new role, Annie said, “I have always been passionate about the community I live in and have considered Myrtle Beach home since I moved here almost 10 years ago. I am excited to work with the Chapin Foundation to better our community and aid in its ministry.”
