Delivering hot meals daily with a smile since 1976!
Mobile Meals of the Grand Strand in the Myrtle Beach area provide hot, well balanced home-deliver4ed meals FREE to persons who are ill, elderly, disabled, or otherwise handicapped in their ability to prepare or obtain adequate or nutritious meals daily. Prospective guests are referred to us by families, friends, pastors, physician, and home-care nurses.
Food is prepared by Senior Catering. The volunteers pick up the meals in the an before 8:30am, which are packed in insulated food carriers, and immediately begin delivery. There is a driver for the van and two volunteers.
The actual delivery of meals to our clients is accomplished with the help of volunteers. Presently, ten churches participate in furnishing two teams of volunteers to assist with delivery of meals.
Mobile Meals of Myrtle Beach is funded through donations made by the Churches, The Chapin Foundation, and various individual donations.
